From the 30th May until the 3rd June i will be in the Wellington pop up shop.
Not only will i be selling my products, from hair accessories to birthday props. I will also be holding, kids make your own jewellery workshops.
Each session is half an hour long and has 12 spaces.
You can make either a
* Bracelet
* Necklace
* Phone Case Charm
* Keyring / Bag Tag
If you don't finish in your time slot, you can stay on if there is enough space in the session after, or you can pack your bits up to take home. (I have little bags for this)
Pre-booking is essential, so that i can prepare stock and have enough space for everyone. You can choose your time slot here.
There is a small booking fee of 20p plus the cost of one bracelet £3. If you decide you'd rather make one of the other items, then you can use the £3 towards one and pay the rest on the day. We do have a card reader, but cash is preferred.
(For no shows, I'm afraid the deposit is non refundable due to me buying stock in before hand. So please get your slot wrote in your diary and set a reminder on your phone. If for some reason you need to swap your slot, i will do my best to help sort this, but i can not guarantee it.)
There is no limit to how many times you attend, you can come twice if you love the first session, perhaps bring a friend along next time. Please spread the word, with friends and family if you enjoy yourselves and don't forget to tag us on social media. If you can't make one of our workshops, you can come in the shop in the afternoon to build your own DIY kit to take home.
Children must be 4+ due to small parts and be accompanied by an adult at all times. I do have a safeguarding certificate and a full DBS check, however this is not a drop off service. Adults are fully responsible for their children at all times, and prettybaby will not be held responsible for any accidents.
(we can cater for boys too!!)
We can't wait to meet you and your little ones.

Bracelet Making
To make a bracelet you need to cut about 10 inches of elastic. You can either use a ruler or use a sheet of A4 paper and cut it just a little bit shorter. I know it seems long but you need plenty of space to tie the knot at the end otherwise it gets fiddly!
Whilst threading the beads keep an eye on how long its getting! You can again either measure with a ruler, or just use their wrist as a guide. Put it around their wrist, and see if it joins up. You don't want it too tight, so always add an extra one or two beads to the join. Don't add to many otherwise it will fall off.
For me it's easier to tie the knot at one end, thread the beads and then tie it straight away to the other side. But i know some people prefer to tie the other end first.
Size Guide
(These are the measurements i use when making made to order bracelets)
2-5 YEARS - approx 5.5 inch
5-8 YEARS - approx 6 inch
8+ YEARS - approx 6.5 inch
ADULT - approx 7inch
Necklace Making
To make a necklace from the mermaid kit. You'll need some scissors to cut it a bit at the end. I've cut the elastic a little longer just incase any of it frays and you need to snip it. I recommend using about 48 beads on the necklace, and using the charm in the middle. Its easier if you have a flat surface to work out how you want to put the beads on first, so you can get the charm central. The beads will roll about on a table, so its best to put down a tea towel or doing it on the floor. Or you can purchase a bead mat on amazon. I am thinking about stocking these, so i will do a poll if its something people are interested in!
One side is already secured to the safety fastening, you just need to add the other when you've finished threading on all the beads. You'll put it through the string so its faceing the other connector, and tie a double knot! Then just cut off the extra elastic.
You can watch this video if it helps, and we have funny snippets on our instagram page.

Find more information on birthday drops here.
I have been thinking of going ' ready to ship' for quite some time but have never really had the time to bulk make the products. I have now made over 1000 products to add to our stock, and will keep adding to this weekly.
The next drop will be in July with our second summer collection, which I think will be very popular. It will be lots of dusky pinks, creams, ditsy florals and vintage fabrics.
Because we will be mainly ready to ship this does mean the bits that are made to order, won't take as long as they did, and I should still be able to get orders out within our 2-3 day turnaround. However depending on how busy launch day is, this may slighlty alter for the first week! However when things die down, then orders will be processed and posted within 3 business days. I will not be posting on weekends, but will post Monday - Friday. (Except bank holidays)

To get your hands on them, you'll need to be patient🙈. These won't be made to order yet, at the moment they will just come as a stock drop. (I'm hoping every other week but it'll depend on how busy i am.)
So i will announce when i'll be stock dropping them on Instagram, i will give you a few days notice, to set those reminders!! For example say Sunday 8pm. You will need to come to the website, (i'll make a link at the top of the homepage which will be *WAND/CROWN DROP* so you can access them quickly.) By doing this it means they may sell out quicker, but it does mean that they will be ready to ship! It'll be a fair, first come first served basis. I will do my best to stock as many as i can for the drops, and if there are any particular favorites please do message me!
As i said these in particular will be ready to ship. At some point i would like to be able to do customization on them, and do them made to order- with a select few fabrics but at the moment i won't be, so they will come as pictured.
I will do some polls on Instagram over the upcoming week to get your ideas and insight on what you would prefer, personalisations, favourite fabrics etc. So please keep an eye out for that.
Thanks for reading.

Back in March we were given the message by Boris to 'Stay At Home, Protect the NHS and Save lives' which felt very surreal to many of us. We stock piled on loungewear and toilet rolls, scrambled to the supermarkets to get the remaining self raising flour to get our bakes on (consisting of a lot of banana bread!).
March was a crazy month for us, we had just over 140 orders on shopify and etsy and that's not including any sales on socials. The busiest month we had to date.
In May, we had a make over on our socials and i branded my business to suit my 'style' more.
In June we launched new products including our now popular scrunchies, and pinwheel bows.
October my favourite month came and went so fast! I sold so many of our new autumn snap clip sets.
Record breaking Christmas, we posted 356 parcels in the months of November and December, and sold over 100 bows in the pop up shop we partook in. Not counting the collections local people had ordered! I honestly can't believe how far we've come in a year.
I want to say a HUGE Thank you for your support of our business, whether you have been with us right from the start or whether you have just discovered us. You mean the world to us!
